This ordinance shall apply to all areas of special flood hazard within the jurisdiction
of the City of Beaufort as identified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency in
its Flood Insurance Study, dated September 29, 1986, with accompanying maps and other
supporting data, which are hereby adopted by reference and declared to be a part of
this ordinance. Upon annexation, any special flood hazard areas identified by the
Federal Emergency Management Agency in its Flood Insurance Study for the unincorporated
areas of Beaufort County, with accompanying map and other data, are adopted by reference
and declared part of this ordinance.
